About Nick Langley

Over the last two years, I have worked as a Converged Sales Planner for NBC Sports. Recently, I just finished working on the 2024 Paris Olympic Games which was the highest ad revenue generating Olympics in history. In total, NBC brought in over $1.2 Billion in Ad Revenue and my team was directly responsible for over $150 million through both linear and digital verticals. I was directly responsible for over 40 different advertisers including Nike, Walmart, Starbucks, and a slew of first time Olympic sponsors. Peacock was a huge success as NBC more doubled our revenue from Tokyo, and I had a large part in managing some of the largest and most innovate digital spenders during the Games. Additionally, this year I have assisted our Sports Betting team in strategically planning out the category for 24/25. The category just hit a record high in total investment within SNF, College Football, EPL & Golf as I had a large part in working through our major partnerships along with helping bring in new business. Managing the league’s expectations along with monetizing every unit possible is imperative for growing this category within NBC Sports as we achieved over $60 million in ad revenue for the Sports Portfolio heading into the Scatter market. Along with that unique exposure, during my traditional day-job I plan out digital, linear, and programmatic campaigns for a variety of clients looking to purchase inventory within NBC Sports vast portfolio. I manage around 25-50 campaigns per quarter which can be comprised of all three verticals that I mentioned above. Having a knowledge of our full sports portfolio is imperative with matching client initiatives to the right audiences that make up the diverse properties we have at our disposal. Aside from just placing advertising within our properties, I collaborate with an assortment of teams including social, marketing and production to create unique sponsorship opportunities that create special moments for our advertisers. While serving our legacy clients is essential to hitting our sales goals, it is equally important to be looking for new partnerships with advertisers not currently purchasing NBC Sports inventory. I have partnered with 10-15 new clients each year to help grow our clientele, especially within some of the more niche sports properties. Within the past year, we have begun selling sports through programmatic channels and I have led the effort in the Chicago office which has opened a whole new consumer base for activating digitally with NBC Sports.
