Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado and on the coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, I have always been enticed by the surrounding environment. After graduating from the University of Colorado in May of 2013 with BA in Environmental Studies and a minor in Geology. I felt I had a better understanding of the environment and how these factors play into everyday life. After an initial post-collegiate job search came up empty. I found myself back on Cape Cod working full-time at a fish market as a manager, part-time on a Lobster boat, and for a Waste Disposal Company. After 6 months of working 70-hour weeks, cold, wet and smelly. I felt it was time to pursue a career that utilized my education and began to search again. Moving back to Colorado in December of 2013 to spend holidays with my family. I enrolled in some certifications courses related to the oil and gas sector at a local Community College. After finishing my enrolled courses, I found myself employed by an Environmental Engineering firm. I have been with Fremont Environmental Inc. since March of 2014. Starting off as a staff geologist and quickly worked my way to my current position at Project Manager. We do a range of environmental engineering, environmental testing/sampling, consulting for the energy industry throughout Colorado and Wyoming and to State agencies.Continuing to advancing my professional skills is important, I plan on working towards a Masters in Business or Masters in Environmental Management.
