    For nearly 20 years Nick LaRosa worked in Construction and Building Operations in the St. Louis area including the Riverboat President and the Frisco Building . The switch to a technology career came while implementing a Building Automation System in Downtown St. Louis in the late 1990’s that allowed him to control various mechanical and electrical systems throughout the building from a computer terminal (or remotely if needed). This sparked a fascination with computers, the Internet and using technology in ways he never imagined. The new career path was set and the vast, prolific technology world has not disappointed him.

    I was honored to serve in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee, the Navy’s Combat Engineers, on active duty from 1981 to 1984 and as a reservist from 1984 to 1989. With deployments to Guam and Greece I learned much about teamwork, hard work, sacrifice and the importance of discipline towards a mission. I take the Seabee Motto, “Can Do”, to heart and actively seek ways to make things happen in unique and creative ways. Experiencing different cultures around the world has sparked an interest in travel that lives on to this day.Approximately 70% of the St. Louis CMIT workforce are veterans and we are proud to support and hire veterans whenever possible.
