Nick (he/him) is a drama therapist/creative arts therapist. Using psychotherapeutic and creative arts interventions, Nick has fostered strong relationships with his clients resulting in therapeutic change. In collaboration with his clients, Nick creates a specialized treatment plan using a wide variety of techniques and interventions. He utilizes many approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, gestalt therapy, and existential therapy. Nick specializes in a Drama Therapy method called Developmental Transformations, which at its core, works with clients to lower their fear of the instabilities of life. Whether it is the tool chest or toy box of techniques, clients who work with Nick can choose from diverse modalities in the therapeutic alliance.Nick has experience working with adolescents in schools, residential treatment facilities, and creative art organizations. Nick is passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community and has been actively involved in receiving the training to support the mental health needs of this community. He has worked with clients from many socio-economic and cultural backgrounds providing innovative and creative therapy. Nick has previously been a teaching artist with theaters focusing on socio-emotional transformation with the youth they support. He is energized by his work with clients of all ages. Nick is originally from the DC Metro area, studied in Europe, and worked with grass root organizations in South America. Nick has been exposed to working in a variety of different settings and desires to blend both his artistic and psychoanalytic sides professionally, landing him into the realm of creative arts therapies. From creative therapy approaches to talk psychotherapy, Nick offers many ways in which a client can embark on their personal therapeutic journey.
