About Nick Lock
In February 2024 I retired as a senior advisor working for the Prudential Regulation Authority (the PRA is part of the Bank of England) following over 30 years' of experience as a supervisor and regulator of UK Banks and Building Societies. This has given me extensive insight into the business models and governance of banks and similar institutions as well as a strong appreciation of the impact that regulation can have. I also have experience of working in a bank, and hold banking and treasury qualifications. I also have experience of working constructively on international policy groups - with an emphasis on prudential capital requirements and interest rate risk in the banking book. Until recently I was leading work on developing a new UK regulatory regime for non-systemic banks and building societies ('Strong & Simple'). In retirement I would be interested in part time work that can make use of my skills and experience.
Listed skills include Retail Banking, Regulatory Requirements, Treasury Management, Banking, and 15 others.
