Role included co-authoring a Discussion Paper (DP1/21), agreeing scope criteria for ‘small domestic deposit takers’, developing and implementing proposals for simpler liquidity and disclosure requirements.

Contributed to the development of updated Basel Standards for the management of interest rate risks by international banks

Chair of a task force responsible for developing guidelines on the management of interest rate risk in the banking book, and on Pillar 2 capital requirements for interest rate risk. This is a continuation of my previous work as chair of the Pillar 2 Convergence Network that existed under CEBS

A sub-group of the EBA's Standing Committee on Oversight and Practices, SGISP is responsible for sharing supervisory approaches and experience across the EEA, and perparing guidance on specific implementation topics.

SCOP is a committee reporting to the EBA Board of Supervisors, and is responsible for EBA input into Pillar 2, including EBA Stress Testing, Guidelines and Technical Standards on risk assessment, supervisory colleges, etc. Its work largely carries forward the agenda previously covererd by the CEBS Groupe de Contact.

Subject matter reviewed and published to date includes diversification effects, concentration risk and interest rate risk in the non-trading (banking) book (IRRBB)

UK FSA representative on GdC, covering supervisory oversight of banks including: college procedures, Basel 2 Pillar 2, Liquidity, Governance, Remuneration etc.
