Full stack engineer

• Built a support tool using Python (Flask) and optical character recognition to capture business relatedID numbers and display their details in a browser, resulting in a lower number of support requests• Managed bug detection in production Tcl, SQL, Java and C++ code and sent escalations withsuggested fixes to the corresponding teams responsible for the code• Wrote and improved scripts using Perl, Tcl and Bash to automate repetitive tasks within Operations,including a Perl script used for bulk user permission changes, saving many hours on manual updates• Rolled out upgrades and configuration changes on production servers both intraday and nightly,fixed broken changes on the fly and provided seamless service and support for customers• Monitored hundreds of production hosts for memory usage, disk usage, failed processes andconnectivity issues and reacted as necessary, sometimes failing over primary/standby pairs• Crafted custom reports using SQL and a proprietary in-memory database to meet strict deadlines forclients and utilized system backups for large requests• Improved documentation to be in better compliance with company/security procedures
