Recently completed my Bachelor of Environmental Management with focuses on Sustainability and Indigenous studies (2021). Focusing on my studies, I achieved a University Commendation of Academic Excellence and am hoping to progress into a career within the environmental sector. I have a range of interests and experiences within environmental management including environmental processes and integrated management, analysis of environmental measures, erosion and sediment control, climate adaptation, sustainability problem solving, Indigenous engagement and stakeholder engagement. I have a particular interest in joint management and the preservation and protection of Indigenous cultural heritage and knowledge. This is a field I am not only extremely passionate about but also feel that it is severely underrepresented and provides a real way for future conservation of both ecological environments and culture. I have had experience working within policy and research for joint management opportunities on Dja Dja Wurrung Country with DJAARA (Bendigo, Victoria) and within project management and community engagement with Healthy Land and Water (NRM Southeast Queensland). Whilst my primary focus is within empowerment and collaboration with First Nations and implementing traditional knowledge into the Environmental Management practices, I am interested and open to any opportunities within Environmental Management.
