• Manage all aspects of payroll for 4,500 weekly and bi-weekly employees throughout 12 States• Supervise and lead the preparation, reviewing and filing for all Federal and State Quarterly and Year End payroll tax returns, W2s, and 1099s• Input all payroll data and review all aspects of payroll processing including wages, benefits, garnishments, taxes and deductions• Process employee rehires, transfers and terminations • Timely process of all requests from employees related to payroll changes like direct deposit, filing status, address, deductions and benefits• Verify accuracy of employees’ hours worked, pay rate changes, deductions, bonuses, and all other payroll data• Resolve discrepancies between payroll records and timekeeping systems• Onboard new employees in time reporting and payroll systems• Timely process of all Federal and State payroll tax payments and employee’s direct deposits• Reconcile payroll accounts to ensure accurate accounting entries for financial statements, insurance a audits and requests from owners• Reconcile all payroll accounts on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to ensure correct tax impounds, tax payments and direct deposits• Update and review all new year changes in tax rates, deductions, benefits and State requirements• Perform quality checks on final payrolls prior to their transmission or distribution• Prepare and submit reports related to wages, taxes, garnishments, 401K contributions and benefits packages• Handle all communication with Federal and State authorities pertaining to payroll notices and amendments
