Perform thermal and structural analysis of nuclear pressurized water reactor class 1& 2 vessels and their associated internals. Analysis experience consists of linear elastic and elastic plastic limit load shock analysis using ABAQUS finite element modeling as well as traditional hand calculations. Thermo Mechanical experience consists of developing heat transfer coefficients and performing thermal and associated structural finite element modeling. Results are then post processed to check for code compliance. Structural code requirements for fatigue, stress ratcheting, and fracture mechanics are that of ASME Pressure Vessel and Piping Code and other similar codes. Work with members of other engineering disciplines in a team setting to generate and optimize designs.
