I was born in Australia with a Greek background. My early years of schooling were in Melbourne. High school in Greece and then back to Australia to study Electronics at the University of RMIT .Getting my Certificate as an Electronics Technician I took another course specializing myself in the TV Studios and Transmitters.1983 I start working as a news editor for the private television station Channel 9 in Melbourne.1989 following my roots I got a position in a new private television station ANTENNA TV in Athens Greece, as an Operations Manager carrying with me all the invaluable experience from abroad. 1992 a new challenge to launch another private television station SKAI TV in Athens Greece, mostly News Oriented came as an offer that I couldn’t resist and I became a Technical Manager.2002 I joined Manolo’s Romero team as the IBC Manager for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.2005 until 2018 I was the General Manager in Technical Operations for the re launch of the old SKAI TV with the latest technology in television industry becoming a prototype station in Europe for SONY.Thru my carrier I have seen the evolution of many formats, from the analogue era to the digital tapeless environment and the internet influence, in the television industry.Even if it takes a lot of effort to keep up with all these changes, I have managed to be in my country the pioneer who takes the risk of implementing all the advantages that this evolution brings to my work.The key word for any success I believe is called “workflow” which must be flexible according to the capabilities of the equipment you are dealing with.Nick Millas
