Having always worked in retail on Saturdays, to earn a bit of extra pocket money at school, I briefly flirted with University but was drawn to a career in retail quickly gaining promotions to become a store manager. Keeping with the retail theme I moved into NVQ training in retail and warehousing before ending up working in the Fuel Card industry for 25 years initially looking after the truck-stops and forecourt networks, for one of the UK's most successful privately owned companies. Having been first promoted to Business Development Director I then filled various Director positions from Commercial to Operations in their new Telematics division. From a standing start in 3 years we grew the Telematics product and customer base to become one of the largest in Europe. My passion and expertise is taking value added products and services from concept to delivery and supporting sales to help organically grow volumes and revenue.
