Systems integration design for control and electrical equipment on the Industrial Trent Gas Turbine. Responsible for specifying GTA package, generator and supervisory control systems. Working in partnership with Rolls-Royce Industrial Power Systems, mainly on secondment at their Ansty facility.Conversion of steam turbine installations to electro-hydraulic governing, including specification of control functionality, design of the electro-mechanical interface and related turbine supervisory equipment. Design of turbine fluid systems for a variety of contracts including industrial, combined cycle, oil and gas and power generation applications. Developed systems for the handling of alternative fuels and for the control of steam and water injection. Specified control and instrumentation equipment produced schematics and contract documentation and carried out flow analysis of piping networks.Design and development of turbine control equipment, including specialist valves actuators and sensors. Fuel analysis software, dynamic simulation of control schemes and design of equipment to handle unusual fuels.
