With over 30 years of experience spanning the private, public, and non-profit sectors—as an employee, manager, freelancer, entrepreneur, volunteer, and business partner with organizations such as Shell, the UK National Health Service, and Extinction Rebellion—I have embarked on a profound organizational journey. My exploration of management boundaries began with the publication of a summary of my MSc thesis, "An Inquiry into Corporate Social Responsibility and New Paradigm Thinking," in the book Management Models for Corporate Social Responsibility in 2006. This journey has taken me through the conventional management hierarchy, deep into collaboration and consensus, and into agile, responsive, teal, and conscious practices of self-management and self-organizing systems, culminating in the founding of Evolving Organisation in 2012.Becoming the first Certified Holacracy Coach in the UK in 2015, I spent nearly four years as the only European-based partner with HolacracyOne, specializing in:✔ Training and consulting✔ Certification✔ Developing learning resources for HolacracyCurrently, I continue to collaborate with HolacracyOne as an Assessor on the Holacracy Certification Program, and Evolving Organisation remains a Licensed Provider of Holacracy services in the UK. This experience has afforded me a deep understanding of self-management, self-organization, and self-organizing systems across various contexts.I aim to catalyze a transition to new ways of thinking, being, and living that address, rather than exacerbate, today's challenges. My work focuses on enhancing how we learn, collaborate, and manage our organizations to better adapt to the volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous conditions of the 21st century. This is crucial for ensuring a sustainable human presence on Earth and supporting the evolution of healthy human cultures.
