I am a Senior Software Engineer driven by using data to improve products, be that in correctness, performance, or end user experience. I am passionate about proper collection of data (ex. user privacy), actionable use of data (ex. A/B experimentation), and automatic use of data for increased impact (ex. machine learning for automation). I believe strongly in using user data for the benefit of users, and ensuring that data is of the highest quality and widest breadth possible.In my current position, I lead the telemetry and privacy team of developers for my product group. I am a Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). I use this certification while working with my organization’s privacy team to translate global privacy laws into technical requirements for my team’s applications. I then oversee and lead the technical implementation of these requirements. I also lead more general improvements to our system for the various positions that interact with them, such as API usability improvements and data quality for support, business, and data science.
