Manage the monthly accrual cycle for numerous marketing vendors by:• Recording detailed month end accruals based on feedback from multiple marketing teams;• Reconciling detailed expense and accrual accounts for significant marketing vendors;• Providing detailed roll-forwards and analyses to accounting managers and other department heads;• Assisting in various accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, fixed assets, pre-paids, cash, general ledger reconciliation and revenue/expenses accounting, as well as assist in monthly, quarterly and yearly financial close processes;• Implementing of accounting policies and procedures to ensure all financial transactions are executed according to generally accepted accounting principles;• Ensuring adherence to departmental and corporate internal controls as well as design and implement internal audit procedures;• Participating in the annual process with internal and external auditors;• Participating in cross-functional teams to implement finance department/corporate initiatives;• Ad hoc reporting-assist finance and marketing teams with management queries of financial results which may consist of detailed account analyses, reconciliations, expense research, and variance reporting;• Improving procedural and control processes within the Accounting department;• Filing Business Personal Property Tax returns for 10+ office locations nationwide; • Processing for company's various State Sales and Use Tax as well as for Fixed Asset Depreciation and Prepaid Amortization every month end.
