Continuous Improvement (CI) leader passionate about employee empowerment and value creation. I joined Shell in 2009 and spent 3 years in their new graduate development program. During my final year of this program I received my Lean Practitioner and Six Sigma Greenbelt certifications. Upon completing this program I was presented with the opportunity to work as a Lean Coach. In this role I led multiple process improvement projects supporting our maintenance ops and materials management groups within Shell Canada's Oilsands business. I also instructed, coached, and certified future LP's across Shell Canada. In 2014 I joined Shell's Upstream Americas group as a Project Lead. This project was a complete supply chain transformation in the Oilsands. Our team established central WHSE infrastructure; relocated/optimized inventory; and launched a new SAP supply process; all in effort to increase production reliability and safety, while in parallel optimizing cost.In June 2017 I joined CNRL as a Repair Coordinator in their Supply Management (SM) Group. My area of focus was managing onsite/offsite material repairs/refurbishment for CNRL's Albian mines (JPM & MRM). This work saved millions annually as we contracted local businesses and tradesmen to perform repair/refurb work on specific equipment instead of purchasing new from 3rd party suppliers. In Jan 2019 I moved into a continuous improvement role that focused on people, process, and systems optimization, within our Oilsands supply chain operations. My primary scope of work included supporting the optimization of procurement and materials mgmt. processes across the Oilsands. Further to leading various process improvement, project management, and change management initiatives, within CNRL's supply chain, I also led the planning and development of a Project Management Office for Supply chain teams. Further to my roles above - I also have extensive experience in emergency management. During my time at Shell Canada I was a member of the National Response Team where I trained and worked as a Situation Unit Lead. In the event of a local, provincial, or national crisis, this team assembled to respond, manage, and demobilize any incident that impacted our operations or employees. I was a team member in the live response effort during both the Calgary AB floods of 2013 and the Fort McMurray AB wildfires in 2016. I also attended annual training exercises that took place across North America. Trained in Incident Command Systems. Certification obtained through Emergency Management Systems International.
