An short term internal role as a commercial analyst assisting with market analysis on raw materials and finished materials. The role was part of the commercial team looking commodity trends and supporting procurement. The analysis included investigating past trends in key agricultural and fuel markets and trying to predict future movement in the markets, and producing reports for the wheat grains and related agricultural products, and gasoline and ethanol fuels in the EU and the US. In addition the reports all included basic margin calculations. In support of procurement the role looked at creating information on supplier spending and plant usage of sundry chemicals and reagents against monthly budgets.
