Very experienced sports coach particularly in Football, Rugby, Cricket and Swimming.ECB Level 2 coach.FA Level 2 coach.Qualified football Referee (West Middx Referee's Assoc)Hockey Level 1 coach.Organises the sports programme for the pupils from Reception to Year 8 (girls upto Year 6) as well as the after school sports programme.Runs a Dept with approx 10 staff who are all classroom based.Also led the PSHE Dept for 2 years, organising the curriculum, planning whole school days, cahrities and resources.I organise all the fixtures for football, rugby, x-country, swimming, athletics and cricket.This also involves organising the transport, internal and external sports coaches, catering for fixtures, allocating budget expenditure, safeguarding of staff, health and safety at events, organiser of House events such as 7's festivals,galas and sports days, updating the programme of study, writing and preparing students for sports scholarships and maintaining the school website.Experienced Tour organiser for sports trips within the UK, Caribbean and South Africa.I hold my safeguarding level 2 qualification and am in the process of updating it to Level 3.I regularly mentor the gap students at the school plus students from the local teacher training University.My aim is to get all children playing and enjoying sport from all different ability groups. Giving the pupils as many opportunities to play in a a competitive situation and to try out as many different sports that is possible in a safe, nurturing environment.I am still a classroom teacher for Maths and Geography.
