For my service Learning hours I was a reading buddy to the kids at Fremont Elementary. This helped me realize that I was right when I decided I want to get a teaching degree. I enjoyed interacting with the kids and showing them different strategies on how to read and successfully comprehend what there reading. I also saw the things I will deal with if I want to become a teacher like not aways getting the kids attention. Also having to walk some students threw every step so they understand what is assigned to them. I think that my personality reflects well with being a teacher I am a very carrying person, I like helping kids to the point where I get so much joy when a students understands something and you see that light bulb turn on in there head when they understand what your teaching them. Reading is a big thing you must teach students when becoming a teacher. Every subject that a student takes involves reading and thats why teachers must teach students to be sharp readers so they can understand how to do assignments and assigned readings more efficient and in less time so they can get more done.
