I currently serve as counsel in Venable LLP's real estate finance practice group in Baltimore, MD. My practice spans special servicing, large real property asset acquisitions and sales, corporate restructuring, commercial and industrial leasing, and hospitality management. I represent borrowers, lenders, special servicers, landlords, tenants, sellers, purchasers, developers, owners, managers, and operators in all manner of transactions. I have played key roles in the representation of a lender on the modification of a series of loans totaling over $200 million, a large corporate borrower on the refinancing of its main credit facility, and a large hotel chain on the restructuring of hotel management agreements spanning hotels from coast to coast.

Composed a guide to litigating the discharge of student loans in bankruptcy in the First Circuit and used said guide to draft complaints for disabled bankruptcy clients seeking such discharges. Interviewed clients to obtain information needed to process bankruptcy petitions and draft complaints; subsequently kept clients informed of the progress of their actions.

Consoled constituents who suffered through difficult experiences, including recent disability and financial troubles, and assured them that all parties were working on their behalf.

Collected data concerning political campaign financing in Maryland state elections and analyzed the data using statistical and mapping software to create visual representations of the data for use in reports. Co-published reports on the 2006 and 2010 Maryland state elections, with topics including the geography of campaign contributions and the use of financial transfers between candidates.
