Oversaw the development of both the skills-range of the staff and the simultaneous upgrading of the organisation’s hardware and software to enable state-of-the-art working practices.In addition to the design and production of advertisements for local and national newspapers, for clients ranging from car dealerships (The Windsors Group) to a national chain of electrical goods shops (Colorvision), the range of the work produced by Ratcliffe Advertising covered new ground for an expanding range of clients attracted to the business. These included:Tranmere Rovers Football Club Creation and development of a complete corporate style for the club, from the re-design of their logo to all promotional and publicity material, advertising, annual reports, corporate brochures and leaflets, exhibition displays, and even the first team kit. My relationship with this client extended beyond the end of my time at Ratcliffe Advertising, culiminating in winning awards for my design, editing and production of the match-day programme. In what I’d like to think was more than a co-incidence, my time associated with Tranmere matched the most successful period in the Club’s history!Wirral Drug Prevention Initiative Design and production of a series of posters and leaflets using local sporting icons to promote an anti-drugs awareness programme throughout schools and community ventures.Chester Gateway Theatre Creative design and development of corporate leaflets, brochures, posters and publicity material. Introduced a new, innovative style for the theatre’s posters, making them instantly recognisable in an over-crowded field, and introduced a fresh new audience to the Theatre.
