I worked as part of the component development group where I developed ISO 26262 compliant software for use in electric power steering systems included in vehicles produced by General Motors, BMW, Ford and many others. With a focus on quality and safety, I made use of static analysis tools like QAC and Polyspace, participated in thorough code and design reviews and maintained detailed documentation and customer requirement traceability. In addition to my work in the component development group, I also assisted in the development of boot loaders for Nexteer's various applications. This role required close collaboration with the application development team, test team and electric product development team.

I assisted the company during a multi-national software application replacement project by reviewing thousands of company documents and by updating those pertaining to the application. Additionally, I documented the page traffic metrics for those and many other documents using Adobe Analytics. I was also responsible for monitoring the Bullhorn Systems Administration mailbox account. Requests handled through the mailbox included Bullhorn Application Tracking System branch adds, which required me to utilize both a front-office application and a Mainframe application to determine what information needed to be added to the system. Most of the aforementioned tasks were completed while working in small teams and necessitated excellent communication and planning.

I helped design and develop both a Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome extension to be used in the collection of research data. These projects required me to quickly learn and utilize several programming languages while working tightly in a team environment. I also assisted in designing and managing a relational database for the research data. Additionally, I oversaw alpha tests of both browser extensions which required distributing the software and collecting reports from the alpha testers. I presented posters at UURAF and Mid-SURE pertaining to certain aspects of the project.
