Merchandise overall grain positions in accordance with company policy.Work with patrons in a courteous and professional manner.Communicate, implement, and administer marketing programs with patrons.Coordinate movement of grain, receiving, grading, loading, and storage to maximize profitability and meet objectives of General Manager.Communicate with general manager on grain positions and grain programs.Stay current with market conditions and area crop conditions to minimize exposure and maximize profitability.Manage grain merchandisers and/or grain staff.Ensure a quality product through regular monitoring of grain condition.

Purchase grain from farmers and write contracts for the purchases.Understand and maintain a working knowledge of the grain contracts offered to farmers.Negotiate grain contracts for all assigned customers.Regularly maintain a strong knowledge in regards to market basis and other grain market fundamentals.Educate producers of market movements, trends and relevant information.
