My insurance career began while I was still in college. Initially I envisioned I would find myself in underwriting or marketing but I’m so glad things didn’t go as planned!My first role was in a pilot department that was created to take customer inquiries from our website and 1-800#. We didn’t know what types of questions we would receive but our role was to figure out how we could help. I quickly learned how to build relationships and network across our organization so that we could assist our customers. As a leader I was able to coach and develop employees and leverage their strengths into promotional opportunities. Over the course of a few years I played an active part in the expansion from a basic call center that could answer basic questions and transfer calls, to a team of licensed agents that could bind coverage. I then joined the Property Claims Team where I adjusted homeowner claims for a couple years before promoting to a leadership role. I have lead teams in ID, MT, WY, NV, CA, OR and WA and also fellowshipped in Quality Assurance and been a part of several projects over the years. I love being challenged and continuing to learn, but above all else I love being a resource to my peers. Whether it’s seeing an adjuster come in with zero experience and helping them develop, not just to succeed, but to excel at what they do and seek greater responsibilities, or to assist my fellow leaders in how they coach and develop their teams. I have a proven track record of being a respected peer who delivers solid results by building and sustaining a great culture of relationships built on trust, accountability, and a drive to be better than we were yesterday. In 2024 I accepted a position with California Casualty in Property Claims. After nearly 22 years with Farmers it was a difficult decision. I look back on all I’ve learned and how I’ve grown and will always be thankful for that time. Most importantly I will cherish the amazing people I was blessed to work with and the relationships that extend beyond the workplace. Looking forward to an exciting new challenge and even more amazing people.
