Provide leadership and direction in the management of programmatic and educational efforts with students.*Hire, provide leadership, supervision, and evaluate Housing and Residence Life department staffed with 12 full-time and graduate-level staff and approximately 45 undergraduate student staff. *Collaborate with the Office of Judicial Affairs and other departments regarding the adjudication of student code and housing policy violations and adherence to student rights and responsibilities. *Serve as a member of the university’s Behavioral Assessment Team to address students of concern proactively through interventions and observations as deemed necessary. *Build collaborative relationships with staff in Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, Plant Operations, University Police and campus student leaders. *Work cooperatively with Plant Operations and University Police to ensure safe, clean and well-maintained communities and properties with a viable and responsive on-call communication system. *Develop and oversee residential communities that utilize best practices in student development and research to create engaging learning and living communities. *Develop and maintain awareness of community issues for students in the residence halls through communication with staff and initiate efforts to respond to such issues. *Collaborate broadly with campus departments and the local community to create living/learning environments that support student academic success and personal growth. *Collaborate with appropriate leadership to implement a strategic marketing plan to effectively communicate benefits and desirability of on campus housing.
