Problem solver broadly interested in developing multidisciplinary, innovative science-based solutions that are applied to conservation and management issues in the ocean.My passion for the natural environment and my early work experiences led me to pursue a career in the field of marine ecology. Through my educational and professional experiences I have benefited immensely from the mentorship of many influential people, and have been fortunate to work with a wide range of species in many ecosystems. This background has shaped my research interests, and the application of my work. My research interests include examining the physical and biological processes that affect species distributions and interactions with human activities through the use of novel tools and technologies. By working with relevant stakeholder groups, we can apply this knowledge to manage animal populations and human activities.
