Mazdis Inc. is creating an automated secure bicycle storage system for use in residential buildings as well as stand alone structures. During my time with Mazdis I created CAD models using SolidWorks for manufacturability and FEA design in iterative system validation. I was also responsible for communicating with fabricators and parts suppliers to create detailed system requirement specifications and a bill of materials.

InDro Robotics, a robotics and remote sensing firm, deals with different drones for many different applications. During my internship with InDro, the company worked to innovatively branch out into working with autonomous surface vehicles (ASV). One of my main projects was building and tuning a prototype capable of GPS wayfinding to map bodies of water using single beam sonar. This project made much use of my knowledge of engineering materials as well as fluid mechanics. During manual missions, a custom gimble mounted FPV camera was used for real time obstacle avoidance. The USV was capable of both manual and autonomous missions.

Working with Arbutus Medical was a rewarding endeavor. As an Engineering Physics student, I was responsible for designing, running, and reporting tests to identify a formal lifetime for the Arbutus Drill Cover. I also maintained and operating the company's Quality Document System as head of QA. Tree planting is challenging, demanding work. Over a total of six months, I planted a quarter of a million trees for one of the largest reforestation companies in BC. I maintained a position at second highest production in my camp of fifty for the duration of my second season with Summit, and had the highest production of the first year planters for the majority of my first season. The first several weeks of my second season I was selected by my foreman as the rookie trainer, teaching proper tree quality, density, and production.
