Associate in Milbank's Global Project Finance Group, where I represented both sponsors and lenders in a range of international and domestic transactions including representation of a Citibank N.A. affiliate in numerous inverted lease financings of rooftop solar photovoltaic portfolios totaling over $200 million for various developers including SolarCity, Inc., Sungevity, Inc., Constellation Energy Group, Inc. and SunPower Corporation; the lending group in the successful bidding process and project financing of a 381 km natural gas pipeline in Mexico; lending groups and sponsor groups in the bidding processes for concessions of numerous additional natural gas pipelines in Mexico; the sponsors for the construction and sale of a 30 MW solar power plant in New Mexico; a bank group of 10 institutions providing financing for a 300 MW coal fired plant and related transmission line in Guatemala; an Indonesian energy company specializing in oil and gas production for a $35.5 million senior secured, revolving and amortizing borrowing base loan facility; one of Indonesia’s largest coal mining contractors for a $600 million refinancing term loan facility; and the sponsors for the review and negotiation of project contracts related to a water desalination plant in Chile.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) is a leading organization focused on protecting civil liberties in a technology-driven age. At EFF, among other work, I performed extensive research and analysis of constitutional and evidentiary questions in a class action lawsuit mounted against a national telecommunications corporation for providing private customer information to the National Security Agency without a warrant.

At Texas Watch, a non-partisan, advocacy organization working to improve consumer and insurance protections in Texas, I headed its grassroots division. I was responsible for a membership base of over 8,000 consumer activists (which doubled in size during my tenure). I oversaw two Texas State Legislative Sessions, organized lobby days, press conferences and testimony on consumer issues at committee hearings.
