• Managed HALO’s mine and IED clearance programme in southeast Antioquia and initial expansion into two new departments: Meta and Tolima. • Grew the programme from $1.1 million to $3 million in annual donor contracts, including winning a $12.6 million contract over 5 years from Canada’s Department for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD). • Supported 200 national staff, 18 vehicles across 5 locations. Built up and sustained an excellent rapport with the National Mine Action Authority (Dirrecion para la accion integral contra minas anti-personal - DAICMA), the United Nations Mine Action service (UNMAS), donor representatives and HALO’s senior national management. • Managed security incidents, media and donor visits. • Initiated and managed a review of the programme’s survey procedures, reporting systems to DAICMA and improved clearance rates.

• Assisted in the setting up, running and completion of HALO’s cluster bomb clearance programme in the Shida Kartli region of Georgia. • Led in the recruitment and training of new national staff building the programme up from scratch to over 300 staff within six months.• Oversaw all aspects of operations including survey, clearance, data recording and reporting, finance, logistics, medical and security functions. • Provided security briefings to the EU monitors and local and international NGO’s.• Trained and liaised with Information Management and Mine Action Programmes (iMMAP) the co-ordinating body for Cluster bomb clearance in Georgia. • Briefed visiting diplomats and donors both in embassies and in the field. • Ensured that all operations were completed in the region within a year and a half. • Oversaw and facilitated the change to mineclearance, including the retraining of all operations staff, the survey of the Soviet legacy minefields, and all aspects of clearance thereafter.• Represented HALO in Georgia and reported to the HALO Georgia Country Director.
