• Site Engineer on the M6 Smart Motorway Project (SMP), Junction 13 – 15 for Kier. I started the project as part of the Central Reserve Team. My initial role was with a small team of engineers managing a sub-contractor.
• Setting out using latest Leica GPS and Robotic Total station equipment
• Producing a variety of Permits to allow to work to take place safely on the scheme and ensuring the BIM Xtra registers are kept up to date
• Producing and updating Trackers for all elements of work to ensure 100% completion of all works.

I was approached by the Carnell directly to work for them on a Scheme in Oswestry, Shropshire for the Principal Contractor Kier because of the previous job I worked on last year (details as below). The project was to improve an existing major junction on the A483 which has been a hot spot for traffic accidents.The existing splitter Island have been altered.

M5 Viduct. Oldbury

The M5 Oldbury Viaduct scheme consists of repairing and Replacing sections of the concrete bridge deck in phases so that the integrity of the bridge is not affected. CRL are part of the alliance with Volker Laser who both implements all of the concrete repairs from Junction 1 to 2 of the M5.My role as a Senior Engineer was to supervise the varying repairs.

Sandbach, M6 Junction 16 To 19

My most recent position was working as an engineer for Caulfields on the M6 smart motorway scheme, Junction 16 to 19. Caulfields are a sub contractor working for CKJV who have the contract to install man holes, catch pits and pipe networks on the South bound section between Junction 16 to 17. My duties include all setting out and site management, liaison.

Magna CCUK, Naird Lane, Telford

After completing the scheme with Carnell I started working on a Section 278 Works scheme that has incorporated the upgrading of a new foot/cycle way network with a newly constructed road. The new road construction is predominately as an access road for a new factory unit that is being built, and also for future development work. The new road and roundabout.

Staffordshire

I started with Carnell in the New Year on a large scheme spanning 8 Km of Footway/Cycleway and Major Road works.The main brief was to replace the existing footway with a new Foot/Cycleway with major Improvements to all Junctions from Gailey to Junction 2 of the M54.The Major Road works section involved widening a 240-m section of Dual carriageway.

Because of my previous work with NMC I was asked to start as an Engineer on this small Public Realm project.Due to future development work the existing road and pavement infrastructure was to be given a face lift in this small area, so the main bulk of the work involved Kerb and Edging laying, Paving and Road Surfacing.My duties included all setting out.

• May 2015 – Sept 2016 Engineer Forkers/AmeyI was employed by Forkers to work on the Stafford Growth Scheme for Severn Trent Water which started on the AMP 5 Phase and then rolled on to the new AMP 6 Phase of work. There.
