Trader, Options And High Net Worth Desk
Placed trades for stocks, bonds, options, currencies, exchange rate washes. Worked with clients that had $500,000 or more in investable assets. Provided market info i.e. earnings announcements, news and re-org requests, new issues. It was a great job to learn about all aspects of the markets due to the high volume of calls we would receive every day. On average I would take about 80 phone calls a day. I could be doing a sophisticated option spread one call and then figuring out someone's RIFF payment the next call and then sourcing a bond trade the next call.

We processed transfers of brokerage accounts between many financial institutions. This was an entry position that gave me a glimpse into a small aspect of the securities brokerage business. I did find my knowledge gained in that position helped me when dealing with client transfers when I went to TD Waterhouse.
