Operations coordination and administration - assisted with the setting up of KiwiKo B.V., created as a subsidiary of TopFruit to manage and develop kiwifruit varieties globally.Duties & Responsibilities:* Develop and implement structures, systems, and standard processes for KiwiKo B.V.* Communication and liaising between all Internal and external stakeholders.* Creation and management of licenses.* Coordinate the distribution of plant material and monitor the protection of varieties.* Monitor and coordinate the commercial development of varieties with licensees.* Develop and implement promotion and brand-building activity plans for consumers/producers.

Assisted in setting up and managing a new wildlife management project, based within the Overstrand region. Responsibilities included managing all Overstrand staff; coordinating staff training; managing project implementation; liaising with community and municipal representatives; completing of technical and administrative duties, and compiling monthly reports.

Responsibilities include training new Field Managers and Field Rangers; managing company equipment and assets; managing the vehicle fleet; filling in for Field Managers and Area Managers; responding to incidents, and; supervising and assisting with field surveys, capturing and monitoring of baboons.Saudi Project/ July-August 2019Assisted in the setup of a human-wildlife conflict mitigation project for the Al Soudah Season festival near Abha, Saudi Arabia. The aim of the project was to prevent a large baboon population, resident on the festival site, from causing trouble during the month-long festival. Responsibilities included: planning and preparation of mitigation measures; training new staff; coordinating strategic and operational plans, and; travelling to the festival site to organize the commencement of the project and manage field staff responsible for the mitigation on site.

Managing a team of field rangers tasked with the daily monitoring and management of baboon activities on the Cape Peninsula. The Manager’s responsibilities include: leading the Rangers in daily baboon management activities, looking after all field equipment, completing all administrative tasks, submitting weekly reports and continually ensuring the team is able to function effectively by dealing with any complications that may arise.

Post-mortem examination of Amietia hymenopus in the Drakensberg:Investigating the use of post-mortem examination of the Phofung River Frog (A hymenopus), using histology to determine the presence of Bd (Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis) and degree of pathology associated with infected tissue.

Assisted and supervised in the practical section of undergraduate studies, this included: setting up and supervising practical lessons and exams, as well as marking tests, reports and exams, for 1st year Botany; 2nd year Zoology & Biology for UNISA students.

Assisted in: calling up of free range predators, darting and handling of lion, spotted hyena and leopard, as well as weighing, collecting measurements and DNA samples from these predators as part of a large carnivore research project.

Assisted in setting out plots with small rodent traps, checking traps, retrieving, weighing and releasing captured rodents, as well as capturing data. This was done as field work related to small mammal population ecology. The research forms part of a larger study on serval ecology at the Sasol Plant near Secunda.The work was done under supervision of Dr. Mark Keith, Dr. Lourens Swanepoel, Daan Loock and Kevin Emslie as mentors.
