I have been a professional DJ under the name “Nick E Louder” since the age of 17 and a part of the electronic dance music scene in the UK, Ibiza, Spain before landing in South Africa and was a part of its inception there in the early 90's.This has always been my passion and I am a born entertainer and I have evolved my love for what I do into radio presenting and music production, throwing events and running broadcast Platform.I have learnt many other skills that work alongside this profession and have built up a wonderful career in doing what I love by creating sounds.

I was the founder of Mutha FM, and became the Director in 2014, and held this position for just under 10 years, overseeing all operations, from Broadcasting, Programing, Technical, Audio Production, Branding, Marketing, Finances, on boarding artists, Training DJ's, Social Media and implementing new and inventive systems for online streaming and media.When I stepped into the Directors roll at Mutha FM, I saw the opportunity to take the platform to the next level and introducer new systems and way of streaming in the digital space, to run the network efficiently and to the high broadcast standard I felt was required as South Africa's first internet streaming media platform.My time at the station was magical, but a lot of hard work as we were breaking ground first in digital online areas at that time. Once the systems were in place and all working like clockwork, it was time to pass the creative batten onto the next generation.

I hosted Loud & Proud show on Mutha FM every Thursday evening from 6pm till 9pm, covering House, Techno, Trance & Hard Dance, with an array of segment features that brought interactive and audience participation elements to the weekly broadcast, and gave opportunities to guest DJs and Artists to showcase their talent on the stations premier show. We run the show for 10 years which gained a cult following of clubber old and new, and grew even larger during the pandemic, hosting international DJ's over the years from Booka Shade, BK (Ben Keen), Axwell, Kid Funk, and many local DJs and artists.

One FM (Dual Broadcast) – I was asked to assist in launching a new local terrestrial radio station in the Table View area just outside Cape Town.I hosted two shows a week on One FM called the Loud & Proud show, and ran a dual broadcasting transmitting on the FM broadcast and live streaming audio on Mutha FM. I produced the shows myself hosting guest artists and performing interviews, running competitions and executing marketing from the on-site studio. This project was very successful and we ran the dual stream for just over two years, during this time we launched the station on a mainstream level for the local community and it is still broadcasting today on 94.0 FM stereo.

Presenting a dance show on Mutha FM Friday night, and moved to Wednesday evenings

I hosted the Saturday night show for a year entertaining the Cape Town city and surrounding suburbs.This was a mainstream and required a variance of music genres to cater for their listener-ship and I produced an easy listening dance music show on a weekly basis crossing over chart music hits and House music building into the evening hosting guest, performing interviews, running competitions and executing marketing from the on-site studio in the Cape Quarter Greenpoint, Cape Town. It was a great team to work with and I was at this station with a short term contact for just under a year.

Nick E Louder presents "The Dance Frequency" Show 10pm till 2am every Friday & Saturday NightsThis show was a twice a weekend broadcast that took Cape Town through the dance music revolution and built and the nightlife in the Mother City to that of an incredible international standard.I hosted two 4 hour shows on a Friday and Saturday called “The Dance Frequency”. The music scene in SA was at it pinnacle, and this was the right time to have a weekend show dedicated to dance music and I was honored to join a national station, and I gave the show my best, to make it the best it could be. We hosted guest international DJ’s and Producers from all over the world with new artists coming on the show on a weekly basis. I hosted live performances, ran competitions with the event productions and gave away tickets to the winners, and brand sponsors constantly endorsed prizes. This was the peak of the dance music scene in SA, and the show went on to win “Best Radio Show” at the Lucky-Strike Underground Music Awards in 2001. Unity was South Africa's first Super club and we brought over some of the World biggest DJ's and Producers to SA Shores, it had some of the greatest event’s nights on record in Cape Town for a Night Club with an extended family of thousands of punters. The venue stayed open for just under 3 years which are said to be the highlights of the club scene in South Africa.DJ, Promoter & Event CoordinatorClub Unity – I was the founding member and co-owner of Club Unity and it was SA’s first Super Club, hosting many international DJ’s, including Paul Oakenfold, Scot Mac, DJ Jean, BK, Ian M and record labels Nukleuz, Tidy Trax and Frantic club event productions. The venue was open twice a week over weekend, and have a capacity of 1500, on a busy night we would rotate 2500 patrons through the doors. The team of DJ that all worked together giving their input into the club’s creation with movie room, VIP room, chill lounge which gave something for everyone and really made an effort to make people feel comfortable. Unity was voted best night club in South Africa for two years running by Epic Magazine and UG awards in 1999 & 2000Run and owned by the Unity 8:Nick E Louder, Chris Klass, Gavin Fitchie, Dan Dare, Tobie Allen, Dimitri, Rob B and DJ Lee

“The Rugged Round up” was a weekly show of the music selection from the Rugged Vinyl Record Store that we had where imported from the UK, Germany and Holland the previous week and play them fresh on the airwaves. This had a remarkable impact evolving dance music scene and creating a generation of sub-cultures that followed the music. We promoted events and venues giving away many tickets and prizes to the phone-in competition winners.

The Headstrong Productions were a Team of us were DJ's from the UK who came cover to Cape Town in the early 90's and started performing in club venues in the Western Cape helping kick-off the clubbing craze in SA.I hosted The Headstrong Tip show on a weekly basis on Cape Town’s University campus UCT radio. The dance music industry was in its infancy and was starting to take off and I saw the opportunity to use the broadcasting skills learnt in Spain to focus them on creating a following and build the scene to an effective level for the city of Cape Town.

Costa Del Sol Malaga, Spain

I was invited to host the Weekend Radio on 3.40 International every Saturday and a Sunday evening from 6pm till 10pm. This was an Ex-Pat English speaking radio station in Spain, with a large footprint spanning across the Cost del Sol, the Balearic Islands and over to Morocco the northern tip of Africa.I introduced the first Dance Music Radio Show on the airwaves at that time and it was an instant hit with the holiday makers and the locals as the dance music scene was in full swing in the UK and rapidly growing across Europe.During my time at this station, I gained value knowledge and had the amazing opportunity to be live studio trained by one of the station veteran presenters, who simplified the broadcast process and taught me the craft at an early age. The footprint reach went right cross Costa Del Sol, over to the Balearic Islands and to Morocco the northern tip of Africa. - (Footprint 1.8 million)
