• This position provides vision and leadership in effectively maintaining, improving and integrating the Mainframe & Midrange (HP NonStop & IBMi) infrastructure technologies which support strategic business execution and regulatory-related requirements.• Global accountability for the Strategy, Risk Management, Operations and Delivery of the Mainframe (zOS) & Midrange (HP NonStop & IBMi) technologies and critical systems. These include, but are not limited to: zOS, VM/VSE, zLinux, Storage, Database, ADABAS, IMS, CICS, DB2 subsystems and HP NonStop & IBMi Systems• Accountable for Mainframe & Midrange computing environments including Operating System, Hardware Integration, Capacity & Performance Management, Technology Operations & Application Support, Tools, Process & Procedures• Provides strategic direction and foundational architecture for RBC’s Mainframe & Midrange Technologies, ensuring Operational Excellence, High availability, Resiliency, Disaster Recovery Capabilities and Technology Currency to meet the demands of our business partners and clients• Accountable for Strategic Planning• Accountable to ensure strategic goals and objectives are accomplished within approved time frames, scope and budget. This includes driving the technology, real estate and human resource integration activities that align with RBC Global IT Infrastructure. • Lead a highly skilled and motivated Mainframe & Mid Range team who provide various support functions such as:Capacity & Performance. Production, Pre-Production & Disaster Recovery Technical SupportOperating Systems, Software & Systems Management Support Batch Processing & SchedulingIMS/CICS/DB2 SubsystemsApplication & Infrastructure Incident & Change Management.

Provides vision and leadership to effectivly manage RBC's Production Batch Processing running on various platforms such as Mainframe, Windows, Unix/Aix/Linux/, iSeries, pSeries for both Infrastructure & Business Applications.Responsible for Change & Incident Management of all Batch.Provide thought leadership with regards to Batch Processing Tools & Technologies. Responsible for monitoring of the Batch Processing Service Level Agreements and held accountable to ensure all service providers consistently live up to their commitments. Service levels are monitored, and follow up performed on any negative service gaps. A very close and open communication channel is maintained with various Functional & Geographic Units, to ensure service level issues are understood and resolved in a timely fashion.
