CurrentI currently lead the Tactical Solutions team who are a rapid application development team providing solutions to the more niche investment areas that the core Aladdin platform does not cater for.o Responsible for all architectural approaches and the technology strategy while still actively coding.o I work closely with portfolio managers to understand their requirements and then design and build bespoke solutions to support new investment approaches.o Over the last 18 months I enhanced the productivity and quality by evolving the tech stack of the team to replace VBA with C# using the Excel DNA framework and then moving to a .Net / React stack.Event Driven Hedge Fund Launcho Designed and developed a fully bespoke portfolio management and trading tool for a new Event Driven Hedge Fund launched by BlackRock.o This complex application was built in C#, Excel and SQL Server and allowed pair trading strategies to be managed and traded using BBG Tradebook API utilising enhanced time-weighted and volume weighted trade execution algorithms.o Enabled BlackRock to launch its first UCTIS compliant event driven fund on time2016 European Central Bank Capital Stress Testo Led the engineering stream of a six-month project at the ECB where I was responsible for stabilising the bank submission system o I designed and rewrote the processing component and developed a new command and control solution to manage the processing across a grid of dedicated servers.Model Orchestration Platformo Designed and coded major parts of a multi-language, model orchestration platform in C# using WPF, WCF for a service-oriented architecture and SQL Server o The platform allowed users to onboard their existing Excel, Python, R, MATLAB, and C++ models, define their input and output structures and create execution workflowso Sold to 15 Tier 1 financial institutions and generated ~$100m in revenue and I am listed as the inventor at the US patent office (US Patent No. 11,726,818).
