With almost 40 years of legal experience, Nick has assisted in developing Page Seager as the leading workers compensation firm in the State for employers and insurers. He works side by side with Page Seager’s Employment and Safety Team to ensure that clients benefit from comprehensive advice across all relevant legal issues. Clients such as Nyrstar, MMG, Woolworths and Coles value Nick’s strong relationships, his extensive experience in workers compensation and safety matters, and his long-standing commitment to the insurance industry. Nick provides regular training and compliance programs to claims personnel and others working in the insurance sector. He is also heavily involved in the Self Insurers Association, providing input and strategic advice on a wide range of matters, and is an active commentator on workers’ compensation cases and legislation. With Page Seager’s rapid expansion in the Melbourne market, Nick and the Insurance team are expanding the firm’s insurance practice in Victoria.

  Nick has acted for insurers and employers in all manner of claims.He has a particular interest in the Mining and Construction sectors acting in numerous workers compensation claims, industrial accident litigation and assisting and representing employers in relation to significant workplace injuries. For example, he has recently been involved in a number of industrial accident Inquests which has also involved Nick in assisting his clients in working through the investigations of those accidents and liaising with the Regulator. He has successfully defended prosecutions mounted in those cases.He also has a particular interest in stress claims, providing advice and appearing as Counsel in in relation to defended hearings.He has provided a commentary on workers compensation cases to clients for many years and is committed to not only providing training to clients but to young lawyers at Page Seager to assist them in developing their own legal careers.
