The Purple Line is a 16-mile light rail line extending from Bethesda in Montgomery County to New Carrollton in Prince George's County. It would provide a direct connection to the Metrorail Red, Green and Orange Lines at Bethesda, Silver Spring, College Park, and New Carrollton. Worked in the estimating office procuring future work. Temporary assignment in Zierenberg, Germany working under BeMo Tunneling on the Neubau Zierenberger Tunnel studying NATM/SEM techniques and processes. In depth exposure to: 1) shotcrete design, application methods, QAQC, equipment selection, batching processes; 2) excavation methods, equipment selection, & approaches under different ground conditions; 3) ground support methods including SN/SB/IBOS anchors, spiling, direct face support, pocket excavations, pipe umbrellas, cast piles, and soil tiebacks; 4) European contract/procurement structure & differences with the North American model and; 5) culturally different views and approaches to construction, employees, client/contractor relationship, & tunneling.

Site civil design for shaft sites. Designed and drafted site layouts, civil plans, and utility infrastructure culminating in release for construction packages & site layout installation. Engineer for the Blue Plains Advanced Waste Water Facility Site overseeing field crews and subcontractors. Develop construction, falsework, SOE, & work plans for temporary and permanent site work to support shaft and tunnel construction. Experience with subcontractor solicitation, selection, management and production tracking. Maintain internal quality control for temporary and permanent work. Manage the furnish & install of steel reinforcement site wide; oversee shop drawing development from RFC documents through field installation. Collaborate with Engineer of Record and representative engineers during the design process to ensure RFC documents constructability and implement cost saving measures when possible.Environmental technician/inspector for SWPPP inspection and compliance. Knowledgeable about federal and local regulations. Change Order/Claims Engineer - Oversee correspondence & negotiations with the owner concerning change orders and claims. Prepare cost-proposals and estimates in accordance with the contract GC's & industry standard practices. Manage Change Order process (for entire project) from bid, through negotiations, to production. Change order negotiations to date have exceeded $20 million.Project Scheduler - Maintain Project P6 CPM cost loaded schedule and provide monthly updates to the Owner for review and payment. Schedule consists of over 1450 activities.Assist with monitoring TBM activities and maintaining quality control records. Troubleshoot issues and downtime using RSLogix 5000, InTouch, CTSoft/Scope, and third-party software.Experience with the Design-Build process and the coordination between the design group, owners group, and contractors group.On project from NTP through Final Completion2016 ENR Project of the Year Award
