As the lead BI Engineer in the Business Insights department of Financial Reporting, I manage all of the reporting efforts completed for stakeholders. This includes creating report ready views utilizing Snowflake (SQL), ingesting the views into Power BI via Power Query. Then managing the automation of refreshes within reports using an On-Premises Gateway provided by Power BI service. I oversee all of the architecture changes, data model changes, as well as overall business logic within this reporting effort.Within this role I have additionally worked to co-develop a reporting suite displaying usage information of our company website. This reporting suite is unique in that it is reporting on nearly 8 million rows of data (and counting). This has led to extensive discussions on the appropriate architecture changes to support the large data load intake. At this point we are utilizing a RDS cluster in AWS as well as external tables sourced from a Mongo DB. The transformations in Power Query have been all been removed in order to prevent query timeout issues. I am co-developing this reporting suite therefore I am collaborating in terms of research and development efforts for this project. As a part of this role I have been awarded a education stipend. I have used this to begin certifications in AWS & Azure for data engineering. Additionally I attend weekly Python classes held by Data Engineers at KBRA.

Data Science consultant for Exelon, the nations leader in natural gas and electricity customers. Within my role I will build/maintain an in house education program, the "Academy". This program is open to all of Exelon's conglomerates as a resource to learn about data science techniques. The work done for the Academy program, will include curating content platforms for data science course plans. As well being a data science resource expert for cross functional data science projects. Additional tasks within this position include, monitoring and reporting on the user data related to the Academy program. This will consist of building out Power BI dashboards on user activity. As well as using SQL and Python to extract, model, and draw insights from user data. Additionally I work along the Grid Data Science team at Exelon. Within this team I help with producing dashboards in power BI for our ML models around our DBSN clusters on fault detection. Additionally I help with the preprocessing and ETL work on the data conducted using Python/ SQL.

Execution focused consultant working on end to end analytics & EDiscovery engagements. Also providing litigation support to external law firm and internal legal team.Job tasks include Data wrangling and table creation in SQL. As well as building out complex queries to test fraud based rules on financial data. These rules come from accredited fraud detection system creators Actimize. Additional independent based analytics projects were completed specifically using the Business intelligence tool Power BI. As well as Data analysis tools like Python and SQL.

Worked as a Data Analyst Intern for Total Maintenance Solutions. Within this role a pricing program was created using 2 years of sales data provided by TMS. The pricing program accomplished the goal of creating a price range for a certain product sold to a specific customer class. This internship utilized Tableau and R studio extensively as well as SQL.

Worked as a Data Scientist Intern for a privately owned Carpet cleaning company based out of Buda Texas. Within this role I used both Python and R to create machine learning models based off the financial data from the monthly reports delivered by the CEO of Quality first carpet care. The models that were created intended to determine which features such as resource prices, driving expenses, and procedural expenses were the most influential in creating/ losing profits. The models that were created were LASSO, and Elastic net based models. As well as classification and regression based trees & random forests.

Worked as a Data consultant digesting 6 months of data depicting the utilization of technical repairman within the electronic redistribution plant at Good will industries. This included digesting the data into R and tableau, conducting exploratory data analysis on the data to discover trends related to which employees were performing the best at repairing tech related items. After the data was digested and analysis was created, one on one meetings were conducted with the acting manager of the Goodwill ERP, department to create a new set of processes around the day to day activities of the technical repairmen. Ultimately the project deliverables included a new plan and process for the daily activities of technical repairman as well as visualizations and dashboards depicting the weekly improvements of the repairmen.
