Assigned to BGs' Knarr project. Undertook 4 Knarr development wells and 2 Jordbaer Southeast exploration wells. Utilised extensive porepressure knowledge to help redefine the overburden pressures to allow safer drilling envelopes.

Extensive experience of numerous Exploration areas and field developments on the Norwegian Continental shelf and west of Shetland, particularly on Gudrun, Troll, Gulfaks and east of the Faroes,and HPHT Field development on Kvitebjorn and Valemon. Extensive experience of horizontal drilling, Geosteering, Porepressure prediction and analysis, Wireline and MWD supervision and analysis.

Assigned to Statoil’s Stjordal office, covering Norwegian Sea, Haltenbanken operations for normally pressured: Tyriahans, Heidrun and Njord fields as well as HPHT Kristin and Morvin fields

Extensive experience of numerous Exploration areas and field developments on the Norwegian Continental shelf, particularly on Statfjord, Troll, Snorre, Oseberg, Gulfax, Sleipner, Snorreand HPHT Field development on Kvitebjorn, Kristin and Morvin Fields. Extensive experience of horizontal drilling, Geosteering, Porepressure prediction and analysis, Wireline and MWD supervision and analysis.

Assigned to Chevron UK on Alba and Britannia Fields. Responsibilities included production of prognosis’s, EOWRS, compilation of composite logs using Pierre software, contractor organisation and liaison, organisation of Landmark openwork’s database utilising Stratworks and Seisworks and training of company personnel. Personally undertook placement of production casing and all geosteered horizontal reservoir sections.

Geological and stratigraphic interpretation utilising analysis of returned drill cuttings lithologies and monitored drilling and engineering parameters. Compilation of operational and final well reports. Training of new personnel, being responsible for their education in Geological and Engineering techniques. Assigned to Ultramar UK as Wellsite/Operations Geologist responsible for the operation of the company’s operated wells, organisation and liaison with contractors in the movement of materials, personnel and reports. Production of tender documents. Communication with members of the partner group concerning all aspects of operations, engineering, geological and technical decisions of current and future wells. Reported directly to senior management and participation in all decision making processes. Production of Geological, Engineering and Petrophysical reports of current and past, operated and jointly operated wells for “in house” and governmental use.
