I am proud to have been involved in Loyalty Street from when the idea was first hatched. The aim of Loyalty Street is to harness data to provide a valuable service to homeowners and high quality estate agents alike.The Estate Agency market is fragmented and congested with an increasingly large number of small operators but very little reliable information upon which vendors can compare standards and track records. Every agent makes claims as why they should be chosen to handle the sale of a house but it is very difficult to access any useful information with which to set them apart. In such a crowded market competition should be in the interest of consumers, i.e. vendors. In practice though this congested market is in danger of being less efficient that it could be with so many agents competing for the same instructions and eventually the same buyers. If there were fewer agents, in theory at least, each agent that remained would enjoy more instructions and eventually more sales with little or no increase in overhead. In such a market some of those benefits in efficiency could be passed on to the vendors.It is the aim of Loyalty Street to promote the best agents in any location so that vendors can enjoy the best services at a fair price, reflective of a competitive yet efficient market.
