Having worked mostly in primary schools (with some experience in secondary schools) since 2007, I decided to set up shiftED - an educational charity that aims to offer project-based learning delivered through real-world projects for children and young people. We focus on designing and making and believe in the value of working with your hands as well as your head, in order to produce things that mean something and that matter. Our tag-line says it better than I can: learning to make; making to learn.
