Great Britain Water Polo (Men & Women)
Responsibilities:• Writing, planning and implementing the Performance Programme for Great Britain Water Polo in preparation for the 2012 Olympics.• Preparing and implementing a comprehensive training and competition programme for all Senior, Junior and Youth GB Squads. • Establishing a strategic ‘Player Pathway’ for all elite GB athletes, from youth to senior level. • To formulate and manage the national programme budgets (£3million)• To assist and guide all national team coaches and staff on national team training programmes and governance protocols.• To liaise with the National Development Officer on all Development programmes so that they dovetail with Performance. • To manage the strategic implementation of the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) Framework for Water Polo, aligning policies, activities and programmes with its principles. • Writing, filming and editing of the national ‘Fundamental core skills’ DVD for all coaches to follow.• Writing of Levels 1, 2, 3 for UKCC (UK Coaching Certificate) for Water Polo, which is the recognized national coaching accreditation.
