Since October 2016, I have operated independently currently offering sound SR&ED Technical consulting services to a wide array of industries including automotive, automation design / fabricators, equipment manufacturers, metals industry and other. My manufacturing and product development background in the automotive industry combined with over 14 years working in the SR&ED industry has provided me the ability to successfully maximize SR&ED claims often exceeding client expectations. My approach is to take a deep dive into the work undertaken when developing new or improving existing products. I also aim to gain a thorough understanding of the efforts undertaken to create new or improve on existing manufacturing processes which are often overlooked by other providers.

Assisting Canadian corporations in claiming tax credits or cash refunds who are conducting scientific research and experimental development in Canada.

My responsibilities included becoming a trusted adviser with the staff and the client base of the firm. It was my mission to provide honest and fair consulting services. In addition it was my responsibility to Provide education and knowledge to the clients and partners of the firm about the SR&ED program, including the advantages and disadvantages, the risk and the reward. It was my responsibility to share my expertise with the client, to help them understand what the SR&ED program was all about, and how they could use the benefits of the program to further advance their processes, or product development. Together, with the client I walked them through the process, and assisted them in implementing best practices (documentation and project tracking) to ensure their claims would be assessed and filed and the client be awarded a deserving tax credit. My mission, was to provide a personalized client service offering and to develop strong working relationships aiming toward a more successful future for the client.

Early in my career with Dana, my responsabilities included manufacturing and process design and implementation. Over seeing high speed manufacturing equipment design, fabrication and installation in various plants. Customers included Audi, Mack Truck and Chrysler. Was awarded patent for low cost, performance enhanced oil cooler design which is currently in production. I later entered into Product engineering providing engineering solutions and customer support in the power sports industry. Customer base included Harley Davidson, Polaris and Yamaha. During the automotive industry downturn, I relocated to the Cambridge facility where I continued to service the power sports industry. about 2 years prior to leaving, I became project manager overseeing projects from prototype development through to manufacturing where I lead a team of engineers in development of manufacturing equipment, process design and product design solutions.
