Scheme – DB c£2.1bn and DC c£60mManagement:• I run the High Wycombe office of 9 members of staff and 2 temps.Administration: I manage a team, which is responsible for the calculation, processing and payment of £7m a year of benefits and the collection of £16m a year of contributions. My role includes developing, coaching & counselling team members to ensure satisfied & motivated employees. Creating learning paths for all team members. My team maintains administration records for 20,000 members. I deal with complex enquiries from members, HR & HMRC. Systems I ensure the effective use of pensions computer software, through automation of calculations , workflow and interfaces with HR/Payroll. I am proficient at using the Heywood AXISe & Profund Classic software. Communications I am responsible for ensuring effective communication of the scheme benefits to ensure maximum employee appreciation & understanding.  I have overseen a new pensions website introduced including modellers. The use of electronic communication has been greatly increased, both to aid communication (through micro sites and e-booklets) and reduce overall costs (less printing). I take account of both focus group feedback and survey results in helping set communication strategy.  Administration Committee I have acted as Secretary to the Trustees Administration & Communications Committee. This involves preparing agendas/papers/minutes for at least 8 meetings each year. I report on my team’s performance against the service level agreement I deal with discretionary cases, including medical reviews, death benefit decisions and ill health claims/reviews.Budgets I manage and am responsible for the administration, systems, outsourcing and communications budgets. External roles I am a former Chairman for the NAPF North London Group. I currently chair the Heywood User Group. These roles have given an excellent network of contacts within the pensions industry.
