Initiated an improvement programme to develop Tactical Fire Plans for 5 major Petrochemical sites in Pembrokeshire, supplemented by training programmes and exercise plans. I was priviledged to work with a great team of officers and crews to improve public safety through community fire safety & education programmes, to improve crew safety through skills based realistic training, to prepare for emergency plans for 3 top tier COMAH petrochemical sites and 2 COMAH LNG sites. I also worked with other senior managers to introduce business planning and performance managements systems, with a personal maxim to keep it real and simple.We had tough days together and many successes. The service will always be changing in reponse to situations, the staff will always do their best to serve the public.
