Plan A Consultants Ltd is an independent Design Management provider to architects and designers both in the UK and overseas. We look forward to working with architects and designers both existing and new.As an architect, I have a long track record participating in the successful delivery of many significant and complex projects both in the UK and overseas. Our new Design Management team collaborates with external high profile architects who have found real value in complimenting their design skills with our management skills to add certainty and credibility to the programming and delivery aspects of the design process. In response to an ever increasing burden on 'management'​ we work with the designers to communicate not only 'what'​ and 'when'​ but more importantly we ask 'why'​ and provide the tools that demonstrate 'how'​. We allow the designer to concentrate fully on the design knowing that the processes put in place by us contribute to rather than disrupt progress. Plan A's Design Management team has the capacity to provide continuous support as part of the Project Team managing the design process (from a designer's perspective), we are also brought in specifically by architects and Lead Consultants to tackle a wide range of specialised tasks on a short-term basis (fee justification/projection, project strategies/organisation and design programming/delay assessments).Specialties: We will be assisting both architects and design teams in the following ways (many as in-house advisors where there are incumbent Project Managers) :• Bid/Competition Management • Practice support • Design Planning and Programme management • Master Planning Support • Lead Consultant Support
