Apprentice trained in light engineering (surgical instruments). Completed Full Technology Cert in production engineering (now regarded as BSc equivalent).Brief encounter with plastic injection moulding then in 1975 joined a family company at director level producing aluminium windows, doors & curtain walling. Moved to run upvc business doing similar.After collapse of the company undertook freelance technical work in the window industry working extensively for PH Tech of Quebec, a composite upvc / timber system specialist.Secured permanent position running Arctic Aluminium for parent company Polar Windows of Middlesbrough for a few years before joining KB Sterling of Leeds as a technician and following their demise, Premier Profiles as key accounts technician. After moving to Liverpool joined Warwick Developments as Production Manager (admin) and then made the transition to steel windows and doors with Rea Metal Windows Ltd. an old established company.After 38 years in the aluminium, upvc and steel window industry, now retired.
