Here at GreenLight, I support sample testing from the entire company as an analytical analyst, specialized in bioassays as well as chromatography-based assays. I also develop, troubleshoot, improve, optimize existing assays for higher precision, wider dynamic range, better stability, and higher throughput. I helped with technique transfer, performed GMP-regulated tox studies, and validated and qualified bioassays under ICH guidelines. I serve as the liaison of analytical group with other teams and frequently go to cross-team meetings to present tehchology and data. I also take leadership roles in onboarding new hires, training and mentoring coworkers, making group schedules, and managing reagent and consumable inventory.Things my supervisors and coworkers describe about me: passionate, enthusiastic, optimistic, fun, energetic, positive, driven, easy-going, laid-back, caring, collaborative, autonomousI graduated from the chemical and biomolecular engineering department at Cornell University. I worked in a micro/nano-fluidics lab to develop a novel biosensor for Lyme disease test, with the aim to improve the test's sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, convenience, and affordability. The technique I used is the antibody-catalyzed water oxidation pathway (ACWOP), where I utilized the intrinsic catalytic nature of antibodies to oxidize water into hydrogen peroxide for quick and accurate detection. I have also developed many essential biotechnology research techniques including cell culture, flow cytometry, biomolecular labeling, PCR, gel electrophoresis, microscopy, spectroscopy, and so on. I graduated August '20 and I am interested in positions in related fields such as biotechnology and biopharmaceuticals. My past research work includes my research at the polymer and separations lab at UCLA where I studied reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, and membrane fouling using polysulfone membranes modified by the atmospheric pressure plasma-induced graft polymerization (APPIGP). I have talents in languages and linguistics. I speak multiple languages at various levels, including Mandarin, Cantonese, Shanghainese, Japanese, and German. I am self-learning Spanish, French, and Korean right now.In my spare time, I play the piano and the flute in the school ensemble and orchestra. I ski and snowboard in the winter. I play tennis and volleyball in the summer. I play badminton and ping-pong all year round. I like photography and modeling for other photographers. I am proficient in media post-production using Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects, and Premiere.
