I founded The Lighting | Architectural Firm (aka “The LA Firm” and originally called the Los Angeles Firm a long time ago) based on one simple characteristic: Friendly and open discussion with precision focus on the task at hand. That’s always seemed to work for my clients and colleagues, so I keep doing it. The biggest benefit is getting to share stories while getting work done. A great combination if you ask me. At any rate, for some reason I wound up in the feature film and TV lighting biz starting back in 1998. I’m still not completely sure how I feel about that but at least I can say it’s been a wild ride so far with no sign of it stopping any time soon. Talk about having stories to tell. That’s what this industry is all about. Don’t ask unless you really want to know.During all this time, I’ve been fortunate to experience what I believe to be a unique mix of business, art and technology all rolled into one. My favorite, for now. I have a feeling this list will continue to grow as time passes by. At least I sure hope it does.
