Pulse News - Backend Engineer• Developed a scalable Scala backend in the Play Framework that generates an RSS feed with the latest news being shared on LinkedIn related to any company. • Designed and implemented a web scraper service that scrapes full text with HTML markup intact (Pulse’s signature reading view), author, and images; replacing LinkedIn’s legacy scraper.
